Dr Jieun Lee a Postdoctral Fellow focusing on urban policy evaluation. She is committed to enhancing the efficiency and equity of urban land use, with the goal of creating better spaces for living, working, and recreation. Their research focuses on identifying effective urban planning strategies and the key values that should guide the development of sustainable urban environments. Their ongoing work explores urban land-use planning, housing market dynamics, and the impact of public interventions on people’s health and well-being. Through this research, Dr Lee contributes to advancing more sustainable cities across economic, environmental, and social dimensions.
Her research has been recognized with several awards, including the Excellence Prize for the research project “How to Manage Semi-Residential Zone of Seoul – Evidence from the Geo-spatial Analysis,” funded by the Korea Real Estate Analysts Association & Korea Developer Association. I also received the Top Prize for the research “Urban Planning and the Trend of High-rise Housing in Singapore,” funded by the Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation Institute. I am a recipient of “The National Scholarship for Science and Engineering” from the Korea Student Aid Foundation.
