Addis Ababa faces major transport challenges that affect its development. This study assesses the Addis Ababa Light Rail Transit and finds that design and financing decisions increased road disruptions and may have reduced travel efficiency. It highlights how large-scale infrastructure funding shapes urban mobility and stresses the need for better integration and long-term planning in growing cities.
